Our Board

The BRC Board of Directors comprises volunteers with diverse backgrounds and experience. All board members bring their own expertise to the table in support of the BRC’s mission.


The BRC Board of Directors meets 10 times a year, including the annual retreat in January. Each board member must commit to participating in at least one committee. The committees include Executive, Fundraising, Finance, Communications, and Education.

Serving on the Board of Directors

is an excellent opportunity to give back and apply your unique skills and interests. You will contribute to the strategic direction of our non-profit, community-based center.


This is a working board that relies on each board member to attend meetings, know their strengths, and proactively identify where they can best help and jump right in!

Roles and Responsibilities of the Board

  • Have a commitment to advance the BRC's mission
  • Help meet the financial needs of the BRC by contributing their own time and expertise to fundraising
  • Includes at least one monetary donation a year (no minimum)
  • Includes selling tickets and soliciting sponsors for annual fundraiser with a goal of raising $1,000 per board member
  • Serve a term of two years (additional terms are possible)
  • Attend at least 75% of board meetings that are held at least 9 times a year and attend the annual retreat
  • Participate in at least one committee. Committees include: Executive, Fundraising, Education, Finance, and Communications
  • Committees meet approximately once a month
