Milk Memoirs: Kathleen Hickock

Hello Colette - My name is Kathleen Hickok and you were kind enough to help me get our son Chase Hickok back to breastfeeding when we had problems with him latching due to his asymmetric jaw and my low milk production back in January of 2009. He was featured on your website as the 2009 March baby of the month! We had tremendous success with a little metoclopramide and a lot of pumping and patience! You helped encourage me and made me believe I could get him back and I did! I have successfully nursed him full time for the past year plus...and now he is almost 16 months… and just this week I’ve stopped nursing him. We weaned down to just nights and mornings...and I have gone two days without nursing. It has been another wonderful experience and I wanted to thank the Center for again helping me successfully nurse our second Child for a year plus! Ashley was our first in 2004- when you helped us. Thank you for your tremendous support!
